I chose "The Remains" as the opening song of the EP because I felt that this very part of my past - the time I spent together as Jovernanté - played a significant part in investing so much energy in music in the first place. Also, some of the tracks on EPP are remnants of our last attempts to record a record together as a band. In this respect, "The Remains" brings us full circle, as old Jovernanté pieces and new ideas meet on this EP. In terms of content, the song tells a very personal story about hard times and disappointments that you go through together, thereby going astray, but ultimately find the strength to get through everything together again.
