about
The title track once again sums up the recurring main theme of the EP - effects of conscious and unconscious experiences, past mistakes and the question of whether or not you learn from them. In doing so, the song grows from an intimate one-track acoustic scenario to a powerful full band farewell, which at the same time is meant to bridge the gap to the more powerful songs at the beginning of the record.
lyrics
My ever present past
please tell me what to do
please tell my why can't I learn from my undoings?
I want to be so much better than I am
but it seems I forgot the lesson I was learning
And if I ever fall,
will you be there to tell me that you told me after all?
And point the finger at me
because I should've known
My ever present past
I want to be with you
I wish that I had known what I am knowing
If I could turn back time
would I change my mind?
or only go my foolish ways again
And then I keep on banging
my head against the wall
because I'm not learning after all
you point the finger at me
because I should've known
