about
"Cold Town" is one of the relics from the Jovernanté period that was mentioned. It's a classic fist-in-the-air anthem about the discrepancy between the love of home and the despair that fills us when we see how everything is going down the drain where we come from. The base of "Cold Town" is 70s bass riff overlaid with a rather atypical drum beat. The lyrics have all kinds of room for interpretation. From allusions to the deep-rooted Christianity of my home region to Limp Bizkit quotes, everything is here.
lyrics
Take a look around
Why don't we sound it out?
Every new year makes it even more abvious
Shine a light on the way down in our cold town
Will you die just to know
What this life was for?
Coming and going alone out in the night
we're all the same in front of the lord
Sorry but I will have to let you all down
I'm not going to stay here in this town
Will you die just to know
What this life was for?
Coming and going alone out in the night
we're all the same in front of the lord
Sorry but I will have to let you all down
I'm not going to stay here in this town

Beautiful guitar melodies with a unique voice flying just above, backed up by warm and tasteful arrangements with cellos and vocal harmonies. This a very strong EP by wonderful artist. Pin Stripes Fan Account
